An established suburb with a lot of long-term residents, which means a lot of computers that have been running for years and were never set up properly in the first place.
About ten minutes from Warners Bay, so same-week bookings are usually easy.
Cardiff is about ten minutes up the road from me, so booking a visit here is straightforward and I can usually offer something within the week.
Cardiff has a lot of households that have been in the same place a long time, and that shows up in the computers. Machines bought in a hurry years ago, set up by whoever was available at the time, and never really configured properly since. Everything technically works, but nothing is quite right, and a decade of small annoyances has accumulated into a general sense that the thing is against you.
That is one of the most satisfying jobs I do, and it is usually one session. We go through what is actually installed, turn off the nagging that has built up, make the text a sensible size, sort out where files are going, and check the backup situation, which in most cases means setting up the first backup that machine has ever had.
A fair few people here commute, and one of the more common requests is simply getting a phone and a laptop working together properly so that the trip is useful rather than frustrating. Files that are actually available on both, a calendar that matches, and email that is not a disaster.
If you are working from home some of the week, the adults page covers the sort of thing that usually needs fixing, and the small business page is the one to read if you run something of your own.
Cardiff feeds several high schools, and I tutor the NSW computing subjects directly. If your child is taking Computing Technology, Software Engineering, Enterprise Computing or VET IDT, or is simply the kid who takes things apart, get in touch and we will work out what would actually help.

Usually within a week. About ten minutes from Warners Bay, so same-week bookings are usually easy. Lessons run weeknights from 4pm to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 3pm, because I work in IT full time. Weeknight slots fill first.
Whichever suits you. Most people prefer an in-home visit, because we then work on your own computer and your own internet connection. You are equally welcome to come to me in Warners Bay.
