Right around the water from me, which makes this one of the quickest visits I do anywhere on the lake.
About five minutes around the bay, so short-notice bookings are usually possible.
Speers Point is around five minutes from my place, straight around the bay, which makes it one of the easiest suburbs for me to reach and one where I can often fit somebody in at short notice.
Speers Point covers a fair range, from long-established homes to newer places closer to the water, and the work reflects that. In one week I might be sorting out an iPad for someone in their eighties, setting up a first proper backup for a family, and helping a teenager get Linux running on a computer that was headed for the tip.
That variety is the point. There is no minimum level of knowledge required and no question that is too basic. Most people start by apologising for how little they know, and are surprised how quickly it stops being mysterious once somebody sits down and explains it at a normal speed.
One genuinely common request around here is photographs. People walk the foreshore constantly, they take a lot of pictures, and then the phone fills up and starts refusing to take any more. Or the photos exist but nobody can find the good ones, or there is a nagging worry that ten years of family pictures are sitting in exactly one place and would disappear if the phone went into the lake.
That is a solvable problem and it is usually one session. We get them off the phone, somewhere safe, organised enough to find again, and set it up so it keeps happening without you thinking about it. The free guide on backing up your photos covers the basics if you would rather have a go yourself.
Ring and describe the problem however it comes out. Being this close, I can generally offer you something within a few days.

Usually within a week. About five minutes around the bay, so short-notice bookings are usually possible. Lessons run weeknights from 4pm to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 3pm, because I work in IT full time. Weeknight slots fill first.
Whichever suits you. Most people prefer an in-home visit, because we then work on your own computer and your own internet connection. You are equally welcome to come to me in Warners Bay.
