What happens to your details.

Short version: I use them to reply to you, and nothing else. I do not sell anything to anybody, ever.

What this site collects

If you fill in the contact form, I receive your name, phone number, suburb, the message you wrote, and your email address if you chose to give one. That information arrives in my email inbox.

The site also counts page visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics. That tool does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites. It tells me things like how many people read a particular guide, and nothing that identifies you.

There are no advertising trackers on this site at all.

What I do with it

I use your details to reply to your enquiry and to arrange lessons. That is the entire purpose.

Your information is never sold, rented, traded or passed to a marketing company. You will not be added to a mailing list. You will not receive newsletters you did not ask for.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into lessons are deleted within about twelve months. If you become a client I keep your contact details and basic notes about what we worked on, because it makes the next lesson better, for as long as you are a client and a reasonable period after.

Ask me to delete your details at any time and I will do it, and confirm that I have.

Children

Where lessons are for someone under 18, I deal with the parent or guardian, and their contact details are the ones I hold. I do not collect information from children through this website.

Security

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and delivered to an email account protected by multi-factor authentication. No client information is stored on this website itself.

Being realistic: this is a small business, not a bank. I take sensible precautions and I do not collect anything I do not need, which is the most effective protection available.

Your rights

Australian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have mistakes corrected, and to ask for it to be deleted. Ring or email and I will sort it out. There is no form and no process.
