Effectively next door to me, which makes short-notice visits and quick follow-up calls genuinely practical here.
Barely five minutes from home, so this is one of the easiest visits I do.
Lakelands is about five minutes from my place, which makes it one of the simplest visits I do and one of the few suburbs where I can genuinely pop back for ten minutes if something is not quite right.
Because it is so close, Lakelands works well for people who want help in small doses rather than long sessions. Some people would honestly rather have twenty minutes on one specific thing every few weeks than a solid two-hour lesson, and being five minutes away makes that practical here in a way it is not everywhere.
If that suits you better, say so when you ring. The rate is hourly and I round in your favour, so short visits are not a problem.
Being a quiet residential pocket between Warners Bay and Gateshead, the work here is mostly household: a computer that has become slow, a printer that has stopped talking to the laptop, a phone that filled up and stopped taking photos, and email that has quietly stopped working after a provider change.
None of these are complicated once somebody looks at them properly. Most of them have been annoying somebody for months.
I teach across the whole range, so a Lakelands household might book me for a grandparent wanting to video call family, a teenager who wants to build a home lab, and a parent who needs Excel to stop fighting them, sometimes on the same afternoon.
Ring and tell me who it is for and what is going wrong. Being this close, I can usually get to you quickly.

Common questions
No. Lakelands is well inside the service area, so there is no call-out fee and no travel charge. The price is $65 an hour whether you are five minutes away or twenty-five.
Usually within a week. Barely five minutes from home, so this is one of the easiest visits I do. Lessons run weeknights from 4pm to 8pm and weekends from 8am to 3pm, because I work in IT full time. Weeknight slots fill first.
Whichever suits you. Most people prefer an in-home visit, because we then work on your own computer and your own internet connection. You are equally welcome to come to me in Warners Bay.
