Ask me before you buy, not after

With the retail centre right there, Glendale produces more “is this any good?” questions than anywhere else I visit, and I am glad it does. Ringing before you spend money is the single most useful thing you can do.

The specifications on a box are written to sell the machine, not to inform you. A laptop advertised as fast can be genuinely slow at the things you actually do, and a cheaper one is often better for it. Meanwhile the accessories, the extended warranties and the setup services are usually where the real margin is.
